I have lived in Orkney all my life. Orkney is a group of 67 islands situated off the top of Scotland, with a population of approximately 20,000. I grew up in the West Mainland of Orkney, got married and went to live in the parish of Deerness, where I have lived for over 30 years and have two grown up children.

I started knitting as a hobby, making jumpers for friends and family. As my work began to get noticed I was asked to sell my knitwear to various local craft and gift shops and now, people from all over the world have asked for my distinctive Celtic and Pictish designs.
